Staffs Girls played their annual match against Brocton Ladies last Sunday, Oct 2nd. There were some new faces in the team for the match this year as we used it as an opportunity to give some of our newer players some match experience.

The weather was still very hot and sunny which made the matches tough to play for both sides and there were some very close matches which went all the way to the 18th. However in the end Brocton Ladies won the fixture.

Fomer County Captain Jean McFarland joined the ladies and girls for the match meal where everyone sat down to lasagne and chips followed by chocolate brownie and ice-cream! Shona Callow was team captain for the match and gave a great thank-you speech.
