Staffs 2nd Team v Derbyshire (Home)
Staffordshire Ladies 2nd team began their campaign to retain the Midland North 2nd Team trophy with a resounding win over Derbyshire at Trentham Golf club.
Playing in bright sunshine the Staffordshire side were in control throughout the day.
The team:- Sally Sketcher (Capt), Annette Deeley, Emily Coleman, Rachel Bishop, Lottie Turner and Lottie Stanton.

Staffs 2nd Team v Shropshire (Home)
Staffordshire's next opponents were Shropshire and once again Staffordshire dominated.
The team:- Sally Sketcher, Annette Deeley, Rachel Bishop, Gill Snelson, Lottie Turner and Beth Round.

Travelling to The Wrekin golf club for the return game against Shropshire once again showed the strength of the Staffordshire side.

Staffs 2nd Team v Derbyshire (Away)
Needing a win to be sure of a place in the final again Staffordshire needed to beat Derbyshire at the away fixture. However, with Derbyshire on home soil - Chapel-en-le-Frith Staffordshire found tougher resistance, but after some tight matches were victorious.
The team:- Sally Sketcher, Annette Deeley, Rachel Bishop, Debbie Eaglefield, Leanne Ball and Emily Coleman.

Midlands 2nd Team Trophy Final
With 3 wins from 3 games Staffordshire were safely through to the final at The Shropshire playing Lincolnshire Ladies 2nd team.
Staffordshire team for the final :- Sally Sketcher (Captain), Annette Deeley, Rachel Bishop, Emily Coleman, Leanne Ball and Debbie Loach.
The foursomes were strongly contended and at lunch time the match was all square, 1 ½ points each. The singles unfolded to make the match level at 4 ½ points each after all the games were in.
A quick study of the rule book meant holes won had to be counted and at 12 each the match was declared a draw!
Staffordshire and Lincolnshire will share the Midland North trophy for 2011.
