Congratulations to the winners of our 2011 Junior Autumn Competitions which were held at at Stone G.C. on Monday 24th October. The weather was dry and rather blustery but all the girls seemed to enjoy themselves.

Holly Hunt won the 2011 County Juniors Bronze Cup Competition with a great score of 36pts, runner up was Lauren Hill with 34pts. The 36+ competition, which was for girls without a CONGU handicap, was won by Jasmin Luo with 24pts. In this competition the girls played off the red tees for the first 9 holes then off the blue tees for the second nine holes. Liberty Philips won the closely contested 9 Hole Beginners Competition with a gross score of 58 with Jordan Barratt in second place with a score of 60. Amelia Benoit and Natalya Bibalo were joint third.

Staffs Girls played their annual match against Brocton Ladies last Sunday, Oct 2nd. There were some new faces in the team for the match this year as we used it as an opportunity to give some of our newer players some match experience.

The weather was still very hot and sunny which made the matches tough to play for both sides and there were some very close matches which went all the way to the 18th. However in the end Brocton Ladies won the fixture.
