Kelly Tidy(Royal Birkdale) has won the the 2010 Ladies' British Open Amateur Championship. This was third time lucky for Kelly in a final as she was the beaten finalist in the British girls' championships of 2007 and 2008.

Staffordshire's Rachel Jennings went out in the third round to Meghan Stasi (USA).

Rachel Jennings is through to the third round of the Ladies' British Open Amateur Championship - Matchplay which is taking place at Ganton Golf Club this week.

She comfortably qualified as one of the top 64 players in the 36 hole strokeplay qualifying stage and then had a 6 & 5 win over Valerie Sternebeck (Germany) in the first round of the matchplay and won 1 up against Mireia Prat (Spain) in the second. She will play Meghan Stasi (USA) in tomorrow's third round.
