Income
Income was greater this year than expenditure by £6000.
Subscriptions were higher this year by £2350. This is mainly because of the increase by £1 per person. Some smaller clubs have joined SLCGA this year. As mentioned at the previous delegates meeting this year SLCGA subscriptions will be collected by EWGA and paid to us. We hope this will help with clubs admin as all fees will go to one point.
Competition entries were also up this year by approx £1700. The entry fees were increased slightly but a lot more ladies have entered this year and we hope the trend continues.
We had no sponsorship this year for the County Championships. We have been able to find a sponsor for next year - it will be the Snowdome in Tamworth. We have to give a huge thank you to Anne Andrews who has worked hard to secure this for us.
Donations were up this year if you exclude sponsorship and the contribution from M.D.E.L.G.A split. Grateful thanks to the clubs who have donated. Little Aston Trentham South Staffs S.U.G.C. from their card system.
Raffle proceeds were higher this year. Next year all raffle money will go to the Juniors.
Expenditure
Coaching fees were down this year but I have no doubt Corinne will be putting more training in place in the coming year.
Facility fees for course usage were up this year by approx £800. It is more difficult to get clubs to let us use their courses, so we are trying to pay them more. This has been helped by increased subs and competition entry fees. I have had a few letters from club Secretaries thanking us for these fees.
Match expenses including County week were down a little this year. County week was held at Trentham Golf club, so not as much expenditure was needed for accommodation. Next year we will be looking at a bigger expenditure as it will be held further afield so accommodation will be needed. We did get a contribution from EWGA of £1200 and we managed to only overspend slightly by about £44, Julie Wright kept us in check.
County Uniform
Not much expense on uniform this year but there is a plan to invest in more in the coming year.
Our accounts remain in good shape with over £20,000 in the deposit account. This is the first year since 2006 we have managed for our income to exceed expenditure, which offsets the losses of the last two years.
