We are very sad to report the death of Mrs Eileen Sessions (Brocton Hall) on Thursday 29th October.

Mrs Sessions was involved for many years in Staffordshire Schools' golf and Staffordshire Ladies County Junior golf.

The following is an edited extract from our County Centenary Book.

"Since 1967, Staffordshire Juniors have been most fortunate in that there have been County Ladies who have been willing to give their time and effort to Junior Golf. In 1981 Mrs Eileen Sessions became County Junior Organiser. Eileen was already involved in Staffordshire Schools' golf. She was an indefatigable worker for these Juniors. Affectionately known as "Auntie Eileen", peering over the wheel of her little car, she ferried her charges all over the Midlands and beyond. Many of them still keep up with her and are quick to acknowledge their debt to her."

The funeral is on Thursday November 12th at St. John's Baptist Church, Littleworth, Stafford at 2.15pm.
