Congratulations to Julie Brown (Brocton Hall) on winning the 2009 County Championship!
The conditions at Druids Heath were extremely tough due to the windy conditions and the final was a hard fought battle with Julie having to sink a 30ft putt to halve a hole.
So congratulations to Bronwyn, who is our Junior County Vice-Captain, for putting up a great fight for the title as it was her first time in a County final.
This was Julie's first win after regaining her amateur status, but her third win overall the last time being in 1982. She went on to play as a professional on the Ladies European Tour and teach golf until a few years ago.
Congratulations to Mel Siviter on winning the Wedgewood Bowl for Best Gross, the 2009 Intermediate Championship and also the Intermediate Best Nett. Mel was our Junior County Captain last year.

Jenny Rhodes, the 2006 County Champion was Runner-Up(Best Gross) and also won the Best Nett, congratulations also to Jenny.
