A trio of Staffordshire County players, Rachel Jennings (Izaak Walton), Sam Birks (Wolstanton) and Bronwyn Davies (Wolstanton) were amongst the entrants at the Welsh Ladies' Open Strokeplay Championships which took place at Royal Porthcawl, 1st -3rd May.

Rachel just missed out on the Welsh title by one shot to Danielle McVeigh (Royal Co. Down) having been tied in 1st place with two other players Kylie Walker (Buchanan Castle) and Tara Davies after the second round.
