What a lovely time we had at St Thomas's Priory Golf Club, the 17 beginners for coaching made the five Sunday Sessions well attended. The girls worked hard with golf professional Michael Beaumont enjoying lots of giggles and fun along the way.

It was a delight to see the improvements that each person made and how individual confidence grew, from express train swings being slowed down and putting like bullets from a gun gradually becoming more like rolls.
We saw 41/2 year old Olivia Billingham being shown how to putt and when Michael's back was turned she placed her ball closer to the hole so she could putt it in saying it was easier like that. The last session, while playing a short Par three she putted in for 4 and also managed to get her ball out of the green-side bunker with a six iron!
The session on chipping also saw Lucy Fox chip in 4 balls out of six, great skills Lucy!
All the girls played the par three in less than 6 shots to obtain their Golf Foundation Junior Golf Passport Level 1 Certificate.
Several of the girls also competed in the 9 hole ‘Rabbits Competition' (for beginners and girls without handicaps) held at Stone Golf Club where some commendable scores were achieved.

Congratulations to Georgia Santoro from Barlaston Golf Club who was presented with The Most Improved Award.
At all times the girls were very attentive, polite and well behaved, which was good to see, as these are important qualities required throughout their golf development, well done girls!
Thank you to Michael Beaumont for his continued support and help with our coaching and to the volunteers who helped each week.
