The following Staffordshire Girls have attended SLCGA County Girls' Level 3 Coaching: Laura Steveton(Walsall), Elizabeth Stuart(Wolstanton), Joanna Williams(Leek), Louise Guest(Wolstanton), Bethany Smith(South Staffs) and Grace Doody(Enville).

The coaching consists of three, two hour sessions approximately one month apart, at The Three Hammers Golf Centre with Professionals Piers Ward and Andy Proudman and the first of these sessions took place last Sunday the 9th May.

Congratulations to Staffordshire Junior County Captain Bronwyn Davis (Trentham) on a great start to her golfing season.

She successfully defended her title at the County Junior Championship which was held at South Staffs Golf Club on the 12th April. Bron is pictured below with the Bridget Jackson Cup.

She will go forward, with runner-up Emily Coleman, to compete in the Champion of Champions event in September.

The EWGA Midlands North Regional Medal Final was held yesterday Saturday 1st May at Brocton Hall Golf Club.

Congratulations to Deborah Austin (The Wrekin) on winning the event with a fantastic score of 5 under par, nett 65 which was six shots clear of the rest of the field!

Six players then finished with a nett 71 including Diane Lea (Trentham Park) and Angela Smith (Little Aston), followed by Bridget Locke (Brocton Hall) in sole possesion of eighth place with a nett 72.

Congratulations to Trentham players Julie Brown and her daughter Emily Coleman on winning the Midlands North Region Foursomes which were held at Coxmoor Golf Club.

This was a double victory as Julie and Emily won both the Nett and Gross prizes!
