Staffs 1st team played Worcs & Hereford 1st team on Sunday 5 May at South Staffs G.C in what proved to be a well fought out match. 

After trailing 3-1 following the morning foursomes Stafforshire came back to win the singles 5 1/2 - 2 1/2 giving an over all match win to Staffs of 6 1/2 - 5 1/2

The 2nd Team played their second friendly match of the season against the Staffordshire Vets at Trentham Park Golf Club on 17th April. It was nice to get this very friendly game played this year. It was cancelled last year due to the awful weather. This year we had great weather and a very enjoyable day was had by all the players. The result was a very friendly 2-2. We played a betterball with 3/4 of the handicap difference given. The  individual match results are as follows:

The first 2nd Team match of the season was played at Walsall Golf Club against Worcestershire on 10th April. Some new 2nd team players on both sides. It was a very positive friendly experience for those girls. A very enjoyable day was had by all and I'm pleased to say that Staffs had a very resounding 9-3 win! The details of the matches are as follows:

1st Team v Handsworth Men

A well fought match, playing the same format as played against Trevose Men, only this time we came away with a 3-1 win. Again I witnessed some excellent golf,  played in quite difficult conditions and a course that was playing long.

A great atmosphere ran through all of the players and we had a most enjoyable day, made all the better by the result.
