County Captains' Day

Great day at the County Captains' Day yesterday at Walsall GC. Many thanks to our County Captains Annette and Anne for hosting a wonderful day and also to Annette Deeley's husband Richard as he took 400 photos during the day!
Three shots shared "Shot of the Day":
Sally Sketcher's missed putt on the 9th - the reaction
County President Val Mason's chip on the 18th - again the reaction and Doreen Banks' putt on the 18th - how excited!!!
Check out a selection of the photos here:

Trentham do the double!

On Wednesday 1st October the Interclub Finals were held at Little Aston Golf Club. Trentham had a team in each final playing Great Barr in the 12-24 handicap division and Aston Wood in the 25-36 handicap division.

The matches were all really close with Trentham beating Great Barr 3/2 and beating Aston Wood 3.5-1.5.

It was a lovely atmosphere and good golf was played by all. It was the second year running that a club did the "double" which made for a tense time waiting for the results!

A big thank you to Little Aston Golf Club for letting us hold the event at their club.

Lucille Wood - League and County Inter-club Organiser
